WHAT IS BAPTISM?
We believe that baptism is an important step of obedience for all believers. It is an outward sign that your life is being transformed by Jesus Christ. We believe that water baptism is a sacrament of the church commanded by God. It is a symbol of a covenant of grace and redemption.
WHY SHOULD I GET BAPTIZED?
Baptism is a public declaration of the inward change of your life through Jesus. This is a visible symbol of being washed and made new in Christ.
WHO SHOULD GET BAPTIZED?
If you are a long-time believer in Jesus Christ, a newly converted Christian, or someone who was baptized as a child and wants to be rededicated – baptism is for you.
If you are choosing to be baptized, then you should be able to say yes to the following questions:
- Do you believe in God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit as your one and only hope for salvation and the forgiveness of sin?
- Are you ready to publicly share your change in heart with your community?
If you can answer those questions with 100% certainty – you are a good candidate for baptism!
